Sam Neill – 1947 Chevrolet Thriftmaster, $1K

Sam Neill, best known as the eccentric Dr. Alan Grant who faced off against dinosaurs in Jurassic Park, is a far cry from his on-screen persona in real life. Instead of running from prehistoric predators, he spends his days tending to his vineyard in New Zealand. Aptly named Two Paddocks, the vineyard shares its name with his 1947 Chevrolet Thriftmaster, a charming vintage truck that he presumably uses for his wine business. While the exact price Neill paid for the Thriftmaster is unknown, the truck originally had a manufacturer’s price of just $1,087. Beyond his love for winemaking, the Golden Globe-nominated actor recently lent his voice to the 2021 animated film Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway.

William Shatner – 2002 Aston Martin DB7 Vantage, $140.4K

William Shatner, best known as Captain Kirk from Star Trek, famously commanded the USS Enterprise through the cosmos. Here on Earth, however, he opts for more down-to-earth rides—like his former 2002 Aston Martin DB7. While not quite as colossal as the USS Enterprise, the DB7 is undeniably impressive, boasting the ability to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 5 seconds. Shatner’s sleek Aston Martin was auctioned off in 2016 for $55,000—a steep drop from its original 2002 price of $140,450. In 2021, Shatner finally bridged fiction and reality by venturing into space for real, boarding Blue Origin’s rocket for a journey beyond our atmosphere.
