The main thing that pops out in our mind when studying psychology usually is to become one. Becoming a psychologist is not an easy task, it requires years of studying and dedication. After completing your degree, you will have to do a master’s in whatever psychology field you like (clinical, behavioral, organizational…) Once you complete your MBA, then you will have to thorough your Ph.D. Psychology is a beautiful profession, but if you don’t feel like having to go through all of this process to get the license, you can be also a social worker. Social workers are in general less respected than psychologists, but what people don’t know is that social workers continuously helping people no matter their problems. Let’s see a few examples: They are the ones that will choose whether you are eligible to adopt a kid or to get the custody of your kids, the ones that will make sure that every kid has a family that takes care of them (foster homes), they help victims of crime and abuse…
Less Psychology Related Careers
Studying psychology opens many doors and very different options outside of healthcare and educational roles. Because of the various skills such as analytical and psychological skills gained during the degree, psychology students can work in many sectors such as media, criminal justice, and rehabilitation, business and management, communication, and human resources. forensic psychology… The latter is a field between psychology and the criminal justice system and the way they connect is by the court assigning a forensic psychologist as an expert witness that evaluates if the defendant is suitable to stand trial. If you are a sports lover and are passionate about psychology then this is for you: Sports psychology is involved with the effects that physical activity has on the psychological health and performance of the athletes. They work along with the training coaches to develop rehabilitation programs and provide counseling to the athletes to help them with their careers.
