The Best College Movies That Will Make You Feel Nostalgic

Legally Blonde

We all know and love Legally Blonde, Reese Witherspoon does an excellent job playing her character, Elle. After breaking up with her boyfriend, she enrolls her self into Harvard Law School just to teach her boyfriend a lesson. This natural blonde has everything going for her, she’s the president of her sorority, Miss June in her campus calendar has all the boys falling for her. It’s one of the best college movies about self-discovery and personal growth. And what’s even better is that there are 2 movies that follow after this incredible one.

Pitch Perfect

The original Pitch Perfect is not the most up-to-date of movies, however, two additional films were made in more recent years. All 3 are excellent and give a great idea of what college life is about. The storyline is an Ameican musical comedy film about a college freshman who joins an all-girls Cappella group and later on needs to compute against a male group. It’s a real joy to watch, is so hilarious and the songs are extremely catchy. Starring Rebel Wilson, so you know got to be an amazing film.

22 Jump Street

22 Jump Street is possibly one of the funniest college-related films to ever be made. The movie stars the amazing Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum. The story follows two police officers as they plan to go undercover at a local college with the intention to try to locate the supplier of a new drug. Their investigation mission is filled with tons of laughs and is a great movie that will keep you entertained throughout the whole movie. Definitely highly recommended!

Monsters University

For all those who love a good animated film, if you haven’t already watched this you definitely need to watch it now. It’s not just a cute movie but also has so many funny moments. Monsters University narrates a story of two monsters (Mike and Sulley) and the great time they have while studying at college. Initially, the two start off as rivals but as time goes on they become the best of friends. Monsters University is actually the prequel of Monsters Inc.

Drumline

Although this film is from the early 2000s, its still one excellent movie. It features Nick Cannon and tells the story of a talented street drummer who enrolls in a university with anticipation of leading its marching band to success. Cannon’s character is very egotistical and has a bad attitude. It also shows how he grows up a little and learns a lot about life. Sounds a lot like many college students, right?

Life Of The Party

No one would ever want their mom to be with them in the same college classes, right? well, this is exactly what happened in Life Of The Party. Melissa McCarthy plays a middle-aged mother and is having somewhat of a ‘midlife crisis’ after her husband divorces her. With huge disapproval from her daughter Maddie, they land up attending the same courses and classes. A beautiful, lighthearted movie with so many laugh out moments, this film will have you in stitches!
